I have been teaching at O.W.Erlewine for twenty years, spending most of my career as a kindergarten teacher in Room 2. Every new school year, my hope is that each student that walks into Room 2 will be able to reach the following goals:
To build confidence and self-esteem
To feel a sense of belonging within the school community
To learn how to celebrate diversity and uniqueness
To work together through cooperative groups
To grasp common core concepts and standards, as laid out by the state
To have a fun learning experience each day
To make positive and lasting relationships
To be better prepared for success into the first grade
As their teacher I strive to make these goals attainable, but parent support is also necessary. Please feel free to come to me with any questions or concerns you may have.
My name is Anita Gleason, and I teach the intermediate special day class for grades 4-5 here at O.W. Erlewine. I look forward to meeting and working with you to help each child achieve their potential.
